Frequently Asked Questions

If you can't put a team of riders together and you want to participate as a
single rider please contact Monica Maliskas @ 972.800.2316. She will find a
team that needs riders and have you placed on a team.

Can I register as an individual?
The challenge of coordinating teams, ride times and ride length requirements
for all individuals is very complex due to the large number of participants
expected. We do not want to disappoint any participants, so the best way to
participate in 12-Hour Cycle For A Cure is to become a team captain and
collect the $250 registration fee from yourself and your team members.

Can I ride a bike all by myself?
You can as long as you pay the bike fee and raise the minimum amount of
$100 in pledges. There is no limit on ride times (although there is a limit of 12
riders to a team), but each participant must submit the minimum pledge.

Why is there a minimum pledge amount?
The event hopes to raise as much money as possible for JDRF. There are
costs associated with running a large event such as this and the bike fee
really covers just that. We are hoping that the pledges will raise the money we
need to reach our fund raising goals.

What will be provided at the event?
All participants will receive T-shirt and goodie bag as a welcome prize. In
addition there will be food and drink throughout the event.

Why is there a minimum age?
The bikes are adult size and cannot be safely ridden by any age under 12.
